Giclée

Giclée, from French gicler=spurt, splash
Giclée is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions and capturing the true essence of an original painting, drawing, aquarelle etc. In the giclée process, a fine stream of ink (more than four million drops per second) is sprayed upon archival art paper or canvas. The artist’s colour approval and input are essential for creating the final custom setting for the edition.
Giclée prints have gained wide acceptance from major institutions.
